Big Boss returns to his roots in this gameplay video of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Hideo Kojima unveiled some new footage of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain in action on his weekly Konami series, 'Kojima Station.' The video depicts Big Boss in the same Afghanistan location from the scene in the MGS V trailer in which Revolver Ocelot sends off Snake while riding horses.

We get to see Snake peek out of a dumpster to make sure the coast is clear. He then hops out of the dumpster and immediately puts on the MGS series' staple of hilarious camouflage: the cardboard box. Big Boss even sneaks up on an enemy from inside the box, discards it, holds the guard up and hilariously puts the box back on to scurry away.

While no release date is set, we're guesstimating that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will release sometime in early-to-mid 2015 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. We also have our money on a major trailer for MGS V debuting at E3 2014 next week with more definite information.
