The Concho Valley C.A.R.E.S. (Community Action and Resources for Empowerment and Success) Coalition will host Drug Free Community Night this Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Stephens Central Library. The event is FREE and open to the public. The theme for Drug Free Community Night is “Rise Above the Influence” and includes community resource fair, examples of positive role models for the youth, an “Ask the Expert” panel discussion, and a family/team challenge for prizes. This is a great opportunity to encourage family togetherness and enjoy activities that encourages youth to rise above the influence of alcohol and drug use.

In 2007, CV CARES formed with the mission of creating an environment that encourages the reduction of youth substance abuse so children and families can thrive.  Now a coalition of the Alcohol & Drug Abuse Council for the Concho Valley, a nonprofit 501(c)3, CV CARES collaborates with agencies and individuals from 12 sectors of our community.
