A new study found that the average person unlocks their phone 80 times a day. I'm not sure if that includes just hitting a button to check the time, or see if you have any text messages, but that still seems like a lot.

If you consider the average being awake for about 15 hours a day, checking your phone 80 times a day, means checking your phone every 11 minutes and 15 seconds.

There was also a survey done that found that the average kid today will spend six years looking at a phone or tablet before they turn 18. If you take into account the amount of time that will be spent watching TV, or games, it's still one third of their life. That's averaging EIGHT hours a day. I get using a phone or tablet for entertainment or even educational purposes, but eight full hours a day is too much.
