Last month, we reported that Mick Brown, the former Dokken drummer currently playing with Ted Nugent, had been arrested in Bangor, Maine for taking a joyride on a golf cart. Yesterday (Aug. 15) his lawyer entered a plea of not guilty to the charges at the Penobscot Judicial Center. Brown was not present at the hearing.

Brown was arrested on July 8 following a concert by Nugent, REO Speedwagon and Styx. According to the police, the man known as “Wild Mick,” in a state of intoxication, stole a golf cart that belonged to Waterfront Concerts and drove it outside the grounds of the pavilion where the concert took place. After shoving one security officer, he was eventually subdued. Two women were in the cart with him.

The drummer was released on $4,000 bail and charged with four misdemeanors operating under the influence, driving to endanger, theft and assault. Three of the charges carry with them punishments of up to a year in prison and fines of $2,000, while the driving to endanger crime has a maximum of six months in jail and a $1,000 fine. A court date has yet to be scheduled.
