Sweet And Spicy Bacon Burger Returns to Whataburger

It debuted a couple years ago, and now it's back. The Sweet and Spicy Bacon Burger at Whataburger.

Just in case you didn't know what the Sweet and Spicy Bacon Burger at Whataburger consists of:

The burger features two 100-percent beef patties, bacon, grilled onions, Monterey Jack and American Cheese and Whataburger’s Original Mustard – plus Whataburger’s new Sweet & Spicy Pepper Sauce – all served on a five-inch toasted bun.

To be completely honest, anytime I go to Whataburger, I get the same thing. Every damn time. The Green Chile Double. Even with Whataburger going out of their way to come up with new options on their menu.

“When we create a new offering at Whataburger, we look for unique ingredients that will give our customers more flavorful options,” said Whataburger Vice President of Marketing and Innovation Rich Scheffler.  “When we tasted this burger, we knew we had something truly special and we think customers are going to love the blend of sweet, savory and heat from this new flavorful burger.”

There you have it, direct from their VP of Marketing and Innovation. "More flavorful options". I really need to buck this trend and actually get something different. Maybe a Sweet and Spicy Bacon Burger is on deck for lunch soon.
