Steam Machine Delayed until 2015

Those hoping to get one of Valve's pre-made, miniature gaming rigs will have to wait a little bit longer.

A Valve representative has posted on the Steam Community message boards about delaying the release of its Steam Machines until 2015. Lately, Valve has been offering live playtests, from casual gamers to developers alike, in order to get feedback from all aspects of fans and critics.

Steam Machines are going to be pre-assembled gaming computers that will run the SteamOS in order to play games from Steam service onto your monitor or TV. There are planned to be a variety of performance, size and pricing options available for these machines in order to get the most bang for your buck. One of the most intriguing aspects of the box is actually outside of it. The Steam controller has two touchpads inside it in order to provide the accuracy of a mouse while still offering standard controlling capabilities.

Other than a 2015 release, Valve did not specify any other launch details for the Steam Machine. It seems games aren't the only thing running on Valve Time. Stay tuned as we will provide updates on the Steam Machine's development once more information is available.
