Sad news to report as Adam Young, founder of the father/daughter grindcore outfit Sockweb, has died at the age of 28.

According to Young's mother, the musician reportedly hung himself and was discovered by his fiancé Thursday night (June 9). This comes after a troubling period in which Young was arrested for two counts of intimidation, pointing a firearm, strangulation, four counts of domestic battery and criminal mischief after a previous altercation with his fiancé.

Young's mother stated in her social media posting that the musician was found not guilty of the crimes against him, though it was later discovered that the case was never dropped. His fiancé later granted an interview with Metal Injection discussing their past relationship issues, making sure her side was out there as well.

Sockweb featured Young and his 10-year-old daughter Joanie. The band formed in 2013 when Joanie was just 6-years-old and their song "I Want Pancakes" went viral. The band released the 2013 EP Bullies Are Mean, as well as the 2014 album Werewolf, both issued via Monolithic Records.

Our condolences to Joanie Young and Adam's family on their loss.
