An ongoing investigation into several Misdemeanor and Felony cases resulted in three arrests after San Angelo Police served a Search Warrant at a residence in north San Angelo Thursday afternoon.
On August 15, 2013, just before 2:00 p.m., members of the Criminal Investigations Division, Special Operations and Narcotics Sections, and Community Services Division executed a Search Warrant at a residence in the 800 block of E. 42nd Street.  As a result of the search, police located several items of evidence connected to previously reported crimes, to include Theft of Property Theft of a Person and Forgery.

During the search, police located Ashley Geigerand Erica L. Martinez of San Angelo.  Geiger and Martinez were suspects wanted in connection to a theft that occurred in late July where the two reportedly pretended to assist an injured woman before stealing her purse.  The 60-year-old victim had become injured during a fall in store parking lot.

Geiger was charged with Theft from a Person.  Martinez was charged with Theft from a Person and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 (<1g Methamphetamine).  A third person, Bryan Ponder of San Angelo, was also located at the residence during the search.

Ponder was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1 (<1g Methamphetamine).

Additional charges may be filed at a later date.  This is an ongoing investigation.
