San Angelo Police continue to search for a man who robbed a Chicken Express employee at gunpoint late Tuesday night.
On May 20, 2014, at approximately 10:45 p.m., San Angelo Police were dispatched to the Chicken Express located at 2831 N. Bryant Boulevard for the report of a robbery.

Upon arrival, police spoke with the victim who said he was inside his car getting ready to leave the property when the suspect appeared at his car window and demanded money from him at gunpoint.  The suspect, described as being a Hispanic male, fled the scene with the restaurant’s bank deposit bag containing an undisclosed amount of money and ran towards Hirschfeld Steel.

Police quickly established a perimeter and requested assistance from the K-9 Unit.  Once on scene, a K-9 Team initiated a scent track that led police to a fence that separates the properties of Hirschfeld Steel and the Nueva Vista Apartment complex; however, the suspect was not located.

The suspect was described as being approximately 5’09” tall, approximately 160 lbs., and was wearing a dark-colored long-sleeved shirt, black beanie cap and a black bandana over his face.
