Chosen out of more than 6,000 applications, Lynette Fitzgerald (Reston, Va.), Tim Gaestel (San Angelo, Texas), Joel Harrison (Atlanta, Ga.) and Phil Talamo (Manalapan, N.J.) will receive the preferential “Pro” treatment from Mizuno to celebrate the average golfer’s quest for game-improvement using Mizuno’s latest award-winning JPX-825 irons.

Iraq War Vet and Purple Heart recipient turned Junior Golf director of Bentwood Country Club in San Angelo, Tim Gaestel’s life has been forged into the spotlight alongside famed golf professionals such as Luke Donald, Charles Howell III, and Jonathan Byrd.

Golf is an extremely popular sport, especially among the millions of amateur golfers that tee it up every weekend, including Tim who tees it up at least three times a week.  If Tim, or any amateur golfer for that matter, had one wish as it relates to his/her golf game or career, it would be to rub elbows and be treated like a pro from a major, iconic golf company.  Thanks to well-respected golf brand Mizuno, this dream has become a reality for an "Average Joe" from San Angelo, Texas.

Gaestel, a twice deployed war Veteran and Purple Heart recipient, works as a Junior Golf Director and was just announced as one of the four last members inducted into Mizuno’s “Team JPX,” a 12-man roster of "Average Joe and Jane's" who are now receiving the same preferential treatment as Luke Donald, the #5 player in the world. It's all part of the "Play Famously" campaign from Mizuno Golf which aims to build the company's momentum in the game improvement category by championing the legions of recreational golfers who support the golf industry through their passion for the game and meticulous quest to improve. Tim was selected out of thousands of entries in which applicants submit an essay explaining why they deserve to be sponsored by Mizuno.

Mizuno will supply Tim and 11 other "Team JPX" members with the JPX-825 game improvement irons and the other necessary tools to elevate his game and "play famously" with the help of Mizuno's superior design and performance.  In addition to being outfitted like the pros with Mizuno irons, drivers, woods and apparel, "Team JPX" will receive tips and instruction from PGA Master Instructor Dr. Gary Wiren. Tim is already featured on the website, playfamously.com, and will be the star of a profile video for Mizuno's golf website.
