Pet of the Week

This week's pet of the week is Sunshine.  She's a sweet 5 year old shih tzu girl.
One of the PAWS volunteers saw her at the pound.  Her time was up and she was facing euthanasia.  It was obvious that she was in pain and something was wrong.  She was pulled for rescue and taken to the veterinarian immediately.  The vet discovered that Sunshine had been the victim of severe abuse.  She had a ruptured eye and her jaw was broken.  We are happy to report that now after a couple of surgeries, Sunshine is healing nicely and is ready to begin her search for her new family.  She is currently in a loving foster home.  There is an account set up to help raise funds for her medical care.
