Pearl Jam are full of big announcements this week. Just two days after revealing the details of their 2013 North American tour, the band just unveiled another surprise: They have a new album coming out on Oct. 15. You can see a brief, 40-second video trailer for it above.

The album, which has been hinted at for the past few months, is called 'Lightning Bolt.' According to the band's website, the record is produced by Brendan O’Brien, who's worked on many of Pearl Jam's past albums, including 'Vs.' and 'Vitalogy.'

The band's last album, ‘Backspacer,’ debuted at No. 1 in 2009, making it Pearl Jam’s first chart-topping LP since 1996′s ‘No Code.’ The record was also the first released on the group's custom label, Monkeywrench, which will also be home to the upcoming LP.

'Lightning Bolt' is now available for pre-order. The album's first track, 'Mind Your Manners,' is also going to radio today. You can listen here.
