Record Store Day happens on April 21 this year, and the exclusive releases scheduled to drop on that day are mounting. Legacy Recordings, the catalog division of Sony Music Entertainment, has revealed Ozzy Osbourne 7” and 12” vinyl releases will be unleashed for Record Store Day 2012.

Specifically, the Ozzy recordings include Live — a 180-gram audiophile vinyl two-LP set, which is a limited, numbered collector’s edition recorded live on the 1981 ‘Blizzard Of Ozz’ tour with legendary guitarist Randy Rhoads — and Believer — a live seven-inch single, which is a limited, numbered collector’s edition on polka-dot vinyl featuring ‘Believer’ (live) and ‘Goodbye to Romance.’

Each year, Record Store Day finds a high-profile musician to serve as the official ambassador for the day, and this year, it’s the one and only Iggy Pop. Now in its fifth year, the annual day-long event strives to bring together independently-owned record stores to celebrate the art of music via special vinyl and CD releases plus various promotional products made exclusively for the day at local, brick and mortar record shops.
