Metalcore outfit Of Mice & Men are readying the release of Cold World, their sophomore album due Sept. 9 through Rise Records. With the hard-hitting "Pain" previously released, the band has offered a more soothing second single, "Real."

The song opens with a gentle guitar melody and simple drum beat as Austin Carlile's subdued clean voice guides the verse. With a brief rest and vocal spotlight, the song carries into the chorus in anthemic style as the frontman picks up in intensity — still singing cleanly — delivering a powerful and unforgettable chorus.

Speaking about the track, bassist / vocalist Aaron Pauley said, “Even with all the advances in technology, it's all too easy to feel lost in 2016. It's easy to forget who you are. 'Real' is our response to that; our call to arms. If we take the time to remind ourselves what makes us real, no one can replace that.”

Fans can pre-order Cold World at the band's webstore. A wealth of bundle options are available along with digital downloads that come with "Real" and "Pain" as instant gratification downloads.

The group has booked a set of four album release shows scattered across the U.S., hitting California, New York, Ohio and Louisiana spread between Sept. 9 and 22. The list of dates can be seen below and tickets (on sale now) can be purchased here. Fans can also catch Of Mice & Men opening for co-headliners Slipknot and Marilyn Manson throughout the summer.
