How's this for synergy? Nine Inch Nails took the stage in Tokyo and fans got a little something extra from Trent Reznor's other band as his wife Mariqueen Maandig joined him onstage for a pair of How to Destroy Angels covers.

Reznor told the audience that he wanted to bring someone up from his other band How to Destroy Angels as they only had a chance to play a few shows in the U.S. Explaining that it was someone "really close to me," he then stepped away from the mic and the lights went down while the silhouetted Maandig made her way to the front of the stage.

The intimate performance of 'Ice Age' was first up, as a few sparse beams of blue light provided the backdrop while Maandig sang. Fan-shot footage of the performance can be seen above. The vocalist then stayed onstage to perform the more aggressive How to Destroy Angels song 'BBB.' Fan-filmed footage can be seen below.

After finishing up dates in Japan to wrap February, Nine Inch Nails will team up with Queens of the Stone Age for shows in Australia and New Zealand in March. Latin America dates will carry the group over into April, while May and June will find Nine Inch Nails in the U.K. and Europe. All upcoming tour dates can be found here.
