Are you an organ donor? You might end up being one and not even know it. I am an organ donor. But after many, many years of partying, I'm not sure if anyone would actually be usable.

House Bill 1938 will be the first of it's kind in the United States, if it passes. The bill would apply to first time driver's license holders and renewals over the age of 18. Rather than choosing to be an organ donor, you'd actually have to OPT OUT of being an organ donor.

Now don't worry, you be given two notices to opt out. So it's not like it's going to be super sneaky, and you won't get a warning. Some critics of the bill worry that the warnings would actually lead to less registered organ donors. While other critics think that the bill would take advantage of people who don't understand the opt out clause.

I'm not quite sure why this needs to be changed. If you want to be an organ donor, say you want to be an organ donor. If you don't want to be one, don't sign up for it. I guess sometimes the easiest route is just too easy for some people.
