Napalm Death Unleash the Apocalypse in Video for ‘The Wolf I Feed’

British grindcore innovators Napalm Death have just released a new video for the insanely awesome track ‘The Wolf I Feed.’ Released from the band’s 15th album, ‘Utilitarian,’ ‘The Wolf I Feed’ is a prime example of the experimental nature of the record, contains portions featuring celestial clean singing.

‘The Wolf I Feed’ depicts a twisted vision of the apocalypse, consisting of demonic visuals representing political and social commentary. Footage of the Nazi party is also inter-spliced in the video, adding an extra bit of darkness to its feel.

Singer Mark “Barney” Greenway explains ‘The Wolf I Feed’ and its lyrical meaning as follows: “This is one of Mitch’s [Harris, guitar] lyrics. It is about Armageddon ideology and the way this is used to drive populations sensitive towards religious dogma. When they can fear ‘The Great Satan’ that is, of course, a very powerful tool. It can be used to propagate everything from racial suspicion and superiority, to wars based around the dogmatic quest for moral purification.”

Napalm Death are one of the greatest representations of a veteran band who can still deliver quality music in the vein of which they pioneered, as well as further developing the grindcore genre with commanding innovation.
