Lara Croft Set to Explore the Temple of Osiris on December 9
Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, the download-only sequel to 2010‘s Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, will appear on Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PC on Dec. 9. The top-down action-adventure game will up the co-op players from two to four, adding new characters and abilities.
Lara’s companion in Temple of Light, Mayan warrior Totec, has been replaced by Carter Bell, a rival treasure hunter. Bell’s rash actions at the beginning of Temple of Osiris unleash the evil death god, Set, and trigger an ancient curse that promises to doom the both of them. Fortunately, his bravado also releases Horus and Isis, two benevolent gods who join the treasure hunters in their quest to awaken Osiris, the only deity who can put an end to the curse.
Developed by Crystal Dynamics, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris promises an all-new adventure filled with mythical beasts, traps, puzzles, powerful artifacts and competitive co-op play both online and on the couch. Attendees of the San Diego Comic-Con will have a chance to play the game months before its release at the Deep Silver/Square Enix Arcade, which will demo the game along withEscape Dead Island, Metro Redux, Sacred 3, Hitman GO and Hitman: Sniper.
