Killswitch Engage just released a new music video for “Cut Me Loose.” The cut is the third song Killswitch have unveiled from Incarnate, which arrives on March 11.

Incarnate is the band’s seventh full-length album and the second since vocalist Jesse Leach returned to the fold in 2012. Leach was fully immersed in the songwriting since day one of Incarnate’s writing process, helping make the album even more personal than 2013’s Disarm the Descent and Leach’s personal favorite vocal performance of his career, as the man told us himself.

"This song is about finding wisdom and understanding through suffering,” Leach says. “Often times we don't realize how far we have come until we reflect back on the past. The past is a story we tell ourselves and often times that story can be difficult to recount. The burdens we carry whether it be past mistakes or regrets can act as a noose inhibiting our growth and progression. There comes a time when we must release the bondage of our burdens and making peace with the demons and darkness of the past. Setting the albatross of regret free and moving on in life if you will."

The video for “Cut Me Loose” focuses around the imagery of a noose, along with alcohol and pills as agents that worsen mental illness. At the video’s conclusion, a decision is made on how to use the noose, but we’ll let you watch for yourselves.
