Last year, the Heavy Montreal festival returned after a one-year absence. The reason for the 2017 hiatus was that the festival site was undergoing renovations and an influx of cultural events surrounding the city's 375th anniversary. The 2018 lineup was headlined by Rob Zombie and Avenged Sevenfold.
