The 61st Annual Grammy Awards has commenced, and even if you watched the event, you probably didn't see many rockers onstage aside from the Red Hot Chili Peppers' performance with Post Malone. That doesn't mean artists such as Trivium, Halestorm, High on Fire, Ghost, Greta Van Fleet and others weren't there and here are the photos to prove it.

It was an especially big night for the winners. High on Fire took Best Metal Performance for "Electric Messiah," Chris Cornell posthumously won Best Rock Performance for "When Bad Does Good" and Greta Van Fleet nabbed Best Rock Album with the From the Fires EP (but lost "Best New Artist" to Dua Lipa). St. Vincent scored a win for Best Rock Song with "Masseducation" and performed with Dua Lipa.

The night also brought a touching moment to the stage when Chris Cornell's kids accepted his posthumous award on his behalf. They delivered a beautiful speech at the podium during the pre-telecast which can be seen here.

There was also a bit of backlash from the metal community as the Grammys' In Memoriam tribute video notably did not include Pantera legend Vinnie Paul.
