The pairing of rock and alcohol has become more commonplace in recent years, with a number of acts lending their brand to different sorts of spirits. It was recently revealed that Ghost, who had already teamed up with Icon Beverages for a beer called Ghost Grale, would also be issuing a new wine -- Ghost Papastrello. Now comes word that the wine will soon be available in the U.S.

The band made the announcement via their social media, explaining that Ghost Papastrello is now available to pre-order in the States thanks to Icon Beverages and that bottles are expected to ship in mid-April.

For those looking for a little more info, the description reads as follows:

While the label might claim this Italian red wine, based on Corvina and Rondinella grapes, would pair well with roast meats, game and aged cheese as well as standing alone as accompaniment to after-dinner discussion, the band would like to inform you that it goes equally well with most rituals, wicker-burnings and other pagan activities. From the Veronese region of Italy, the style of wine is characterised by it’s very slow fermentation and the long maceration on it’s skins, producing a well balanced wine with an excellent body and heavy fruit and spices on the nose. Red wine has since the beginning of history been linked to At Icon Beverages we like to give fans access to bands from all over the world. We are going to import this wine just for the UK and US Ghost fans. Pre-Orders are due to ship mid April latest so get your order in to secure your import.

It should be noted that there are options to order the Ghost Papastrello wine or Ghost Grale individually, or a pack of both items together. Head here for more details.

Ghost are currently promoting their Meloria album, which spawned the Grammy-winning Best Metal Performance for the single "Cirice." The band is currently touring the U.S., with dates booked into mid-May. After that, they'll head to Europe for summer dates. See all their scheduled shows here.
