While rock ‘n’ roll and political conservatism don’t exactly go hand in hand, Gene Simmons and big business are a match made in heaven. In a recent interview, the KISS demon gave former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney his personal endorsement for the upcoming presidential election, should Romney win the party nomination.

Simmons, who voted for current president Barack Obama in the last presidential election, has some regrets, recently admitting to the TV show ‘Fox and Friends,’ “Hindsight is 20/20. I have some real issues with the economy and how it’s being done.”

As for why Romney is his guy, Simmons said, “America should be in business and it should be run by a businessman.” If anyone has a firm grasp on business affairs, it would be Simmons, who coincidentally wasn’t on the show to talk politics at all but to promote his latest venture, a new chain of restaurants called ‘Rock & Brews.’

Simmons summed up his position further, saying, “America is a business. If you can’t afford to do something, no matter how much bellyaching everybody does – I’m so sorry, if you can’t afford it, you shouldn’t do it.”

Hmm, that leads us to the question, what KISS song would make a great campaign anthem for Romney?
