Florida Sheriff: Don’t Shoot At Hurricane, It Wont Go Away
A Florida Sheriff tweeted out a warning to people to not shoot at the hurricanes, it won’t make them turn around. Sad to say some people thought this was true.
If you thought the worst part of a hurricane was mother nature’s fury, you maybe should look at some of the idiots who stayed behind during the storm. Police in Pascal County, Florida are warning people to please not shoot at hurricanes because it won’t make them turn around. On Saturday evening, the Sheriff’s Office tweeted out a warning to people on Facebook who RSVP’ed or were “Interested” in an event for the next day to shoot at Hurricane Irma. On the Facebook Event, “Shoot At Hurricane Irma,” people were encouraged to show Irma that “we shoot first.” While the event was made sarcastically, over 28,000 said they were going and over 55,000 people were interested in the event. Authorities in the area didn’t want to take a chance with people actually shooting into the hurricane and decided to tweet out this warning:

The Sheriff’s Office even linked a story to their tweet showing that there is a chance that the bullets shot into the hurricane could come back and hurt people. The two men responsible for the Facebook Event said that it was made in sarcasm and that they never intended to shoot at the hurricane.
