Falling in Reverse Reveal New Album Details + ‘Alone’ Music Video
Falling in Reverse are ready to capture the magic again with their second album. The band has announced that the disc, titled 'Fashionably Late,' will carry a June 18 release via Epitaph Records. FIR have just begun laying out the release details, with the first single being unleashed and the pre-order going live today at the band's webstore here.
Frontman Ronnie Radke still delivers an in-your-face hard-rocking performance on the new album, but there's also a bit of rap influence added on some of the material, including the new single 'Alone.' Radke says, "My dad raised me on metal, but my first serious love was hip-hop. When I heard Dr. Dre's 'The Chronic,' that's when I fell in love. I didn't know what the hell they were talking about, the beats were intertwined and it came inside of me and took me over. When we added the hip-hop elements, I was thinking 'Should I do this? This sounds crazy! Are people going to like this?' Now I've never been so proud of something. The final product, 'Fashionably Late,' is the best work I've ever done."
Some of that hip-hop influence carries over to the video for 'Alone,' where Radke hops out of and is trailed by a sports car on an airport runway while singing about those "girls of sex." But rest assured, there is some heavy riffing by Falling in Reverse on the track, leaving no doubt this is a rock song. The video can be seen below.
Of the track's inspiration, Radke adds, "It's everything I've ever wanted to say to all these Twitter followers that talk s---. I wanted to let everyone that dedicates their lives to just one genre of music know why they are so unhappy."
The 'Fashionably Late' album is the follow-up to their breakout effort, 'The Drug in Me Is You.' Falling in Revers will be promoting the disc on the West Coast portion of the Vans Warped Tour this summer. To see the dates, click the red button below.
