Egypt Central are no more, but rising out of the ashes of that band is Devour the Day, a powerful new rock group featuring Egypt Central's Joey "Chicago" Walser and Blake Allison. The Memphis-based outfit are building up to the May 7 release of their 'Time & Pressure' album, and Loudwire is proud to present you this teaser clip (watch below), giving you a glimpse at their new song 'Good Man.'

The preview takes viewers along with the band on the ride to the studio and watches the beginnings of their 'Good Man' performance. On the track, Allison, who traded in his drum kit in Egypt Central for a guitar and microphone in Devour the Day, unleashes powerful vocals, showing great promise of things to come.

Bassist Walser says of the song, "‘Good Man’ is really about the struggle of a man at a crossroads. All of us reach a point in our lives when we question the current path we’re taking and seek some deeper form of wisdom, truth, or salvation. The religious undertones in ‘Good Man’ beg the questions; can we find the will within ourselves to see the light? Can we be saved, or are we even worth saving?”

Before the song kicks in, there's a voice-over from Allison setting the stage. The rocker says, "This by far has been the best musical experience that I have ever had. The group that has come together and the friendships that are being made, you can just tell we're gonna do great things together."

The 'Time and Pressure' album is currently available for pre-order via Amazon here. 'Good Man' heads to radio on Good Friday (March 29) and will be available for download on April 2. Be sure to check back with Loudwire on Thursday (March 28) for the premiere of the full lyric video for 'Good Man.'
