Creed are currently making their way across the country on a very special anniversary tour. They set out on a retrospective trek to celebrate the 15th anniversary of their debut disc ‘My Own Prison.’ However, what started out as a handful of dates in a few select cities dubbed the ‘2 Nights Live’ tour has turned into a full blown tour for the band.

The original idea was to play two nights in each city, one night featuring ‘My Own Prison’ from beginning to end and the second night performing their second disc ‘Human Clay’ from start to finish. However, due to popular demand, the tour has expanded, and some cities will only see Creed for one night. For the one-nighters, the band is alternating between the two albums, so if you really want to hear them both, you may have to plan on a road trip!

Over the weekend (April 21), Loudwire caught up with the tour at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn. ‘Human Clay’ was on tap for the night. Kicking the show off with ‘Are You Ready?’ the energy was high and that old magical synergy of Creed was in abundance, something that seemed to be lacking the last few times Creed toured.

Most notably, Scott Stapp’s voice was in fighting shape, sounding better than ever. Stapp and guitarist Mark Tremonti played off of each other all night, and  it was fun to watch. Having called the tour a way to reconnect with their fans, and with each other, it definitely seems to be working. By all accounts, the chemistry between the band members couldn’t be stronger. (Check out our photo gallery below for visual proof!) Throughout the evening, the band powered through every song on ‘Human Clay’ and threw in a few bonus tracks for good measure.

In addition to the current tour, Creed are also working on a new disc, and are about at the halfway mark. Scott Stapp said they won’t stop until they’ve made their best album to date but hopes to have it out by summer.
