Joining a long line of rock and metal musicians who have come out to support Lamb of God vocalist Randy Blythe, Children of Bodom frontman Alexi Laiho has released a video sending his best wishes to Blythe. Still locked away in the Czech Republic, Blythe could possibly be let out soon if the prosecutor’s challenge of the vocalist’s posted bail is dismissed by the judge.

In the heartfelt message from Laiho, the Children of Bodom mastermind sent out his love to Blythe in the video. “On a more serious note, a friend, a brother, Randy Blythe from Lamb of God is still in jail in Prague. So I just wanna send a shout-out to Randy right now and just say I love you, brother. I can’t even imagine what you’re going through right now, but I know you’ll make it. And I hope to see you soon.”

Laiho also took the opportunity to give fans an update on the status of Children of Bodom’s next album. “We’re gonna start working on new stuff, new material next week. [There's] gonna be a lot of practicing, hopefully, and definitely a lot of good stuff coming out. The new album should be out next year — early next year — so hopefully you guys can be patient enough for it to come out.”

Children of Bodom recently finished up a string of European festival dates along with club shows with death metal legends Cannibal Corpse. CoB had to cancel a few dates because Laiho was suffering from a severe stomach ailment.
