Breaking Benjamin Reveal Additional 2016 Acoustic Tour Dates
Breaking Benjamin will be unplugging again following a successful acoustic tour earlier this year. After they wrap up their current tour (which stops tonight in Anaheim, Calif.), they'll do another run of intimate performances. The next leg of their acoustic trek kicks off April 19 in Lancaster, Pa., with tickets on sale beginning March 11 at their official site.
In a recent interview, frontman Ben Burnley talked about playing acoustic shows. "We have a lot of touring with the electric full band thing," Burnley says. "We like to do these small acoustic tours just to kinda break it up a little bit for us, to kinda keep our chops up, because we can’t rely on any effects or anything."
Burnley continues, "We have to keep our meter right, our chords right and all that stuff, because it really comes through if you make a mistake. It keeps us tight as a band. It’s different for us to do and fun! It’s something that the fans to seem to really enjoy, which is the most important thing."
Breaking Benjamin will plug back in for a co-headlining tour with Disturbed beginning July 9 in Syracuse, N.Y. Alter Bridge and Saint Asonia are also on the bill. Breaking Benjamin will also head to Europe for the first time to play some shows and festivals this summer. For their complete tour schedule, go here.
They are touring in support of last year's chart-topping album Dark Before Dawn, which has spawned the number one singles "Failure" and "Angels Fall."
