A while ago our GM came to me and asked me if I was willing to rappel down an 11 story building to raise funds for the El Paso Zoo. Without even thinking about it I said yes. I knew if I did think about it, chances of me chickening out would only increase as time went on.

I was familiar with Over The Edge because the station I come from in Portland did it as well. It's a pretty simple concept, you donate money to charity (The El Paso Zoo) and you get to do something awesome, like rappelling down a building.

Leading up to it I went from nervous to excited like a roller coaster. But when it came down to it, I really didn't feel that scared. I felt comfortable with the harness, the guys we were working with knew what they were doing and were incredibly professional. But please note at about the 1:45 mark of the video below, according to the one volunteer, I looked scared. I didn't feel it, but maybe I did. What do you think?
