The Black Veil Brides army have a late Christmas gift to look forward to in the form of the band’s forthcoming album ‘Wretched and Divine: The Story of the Wild Ones.’

We recently had the opportunity to chat with Black Veil Brides singer Andy Biersack about what he thought was the worst Christmas gift he had ever received, as well as the best gift he ever opened.

Biersack explains a very unfulfilling holiday experience when he was younger: “It wasn’t a real Christmas gift, but the most disappointed Christmas experience I ever had was when I was a real young kid – you know St. Nicholas Day, the day before Christmas where you get a stocking full of stuff? I remember waking up on St. Nicholas Day and I was like 6 years old or something and I ran downstairs, my parents were asleep and I couldn’t find a stocking or anything but I found a bag of lady’s moisturizers that my mom had bought at the drugstore for herself.”

Biersack continues, “I just remember going through it and being like, ‘Whoa St. Nick man, you were way off on this. This is so not what I wanted.’ I was just bummed out and went back upstairs and told my parents, ‘St. Nick only brought me soap and stuff guys,’ and they were like, ‘What?’ and started laughing and then gave me my actual stocking but I just remember that moment of sheer disappointment."

Meanwhile, Biersack's favorite presents were ones featuring his favorite superhero. “The best gifts I ever got were anything cool and Batman related – like the Batman command center thing, it’s like a giant Batcave thing made out of plastic - that was always good.”

Black Veil Brides' third studio album, ‘Wretched and Divine: The Story of the Wild Ones,’ is due out on Jan. 8. Check out the video for the first single, 'In the End,' here.
