The release date for Black Stone Cherry's fourth album 'Magic Mountain' is still more than two months away (May 6), but the band is giving fans a taste of what to expect with the single 'Me and Mary Jane' (listen above).

Bassist Jon Lawhon says of the new album, "A lot of rock music today doesn’t have any soul. It’s all really bland. There’s no attitude. There’s no heart. We all grew up on ‘70s rock, Southern rock, country music and bluesmen like Robert Johnson and Muddy Waters. On this album, more so than ever, those elements are all in the forefront."

'Magic Mountain' was produced by Joe Barresi (Tool, Nine Inch Nails, Soundgarden), and is the follow-up to 2011's 'Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea.' That album debuted at No. 29 on the Billboard 200 and spawned the singles 'White Trash Millionaire,' 'In My Blood' and 'Blame It on the Boom Boom.'

Black Stone Cherry have a packed 2014 tour calendar. They are currently in Europe, playing a show tonight (Feb. 25) in Glasgow, Scotland. They return to North America in late April for a tour with Seether and Skindred.

In addition to that bill, they will also appear at several radio shows and festivals such as Fort Rock, Welcome to Rockville, Carolina Rebellion, Beale Street Music Festival and Rock on the Range.
