Getting access to the Battlefield: Hardline beta for PS4 could be as easy as visiting a movie theater.

IGN reports that Battlefield: Hardline beta codes have been given out to those who will be watching Sony's E3 press conference in participating theaters throughout the United States and Canada. It has been confirmed that attendees who have RSVP'd to the E3 event were emailed a redeemable code for PlayStation 4 as Sony's way of saying thanks. The code grants access to Hardline's beta, which lets you try out its two new game modes on a map called High Tension. This corroborates with a recent story we covered about Hardline's leaked beta footage depicting the same exact level and offering the Blood Money and Heist game modes, which are both new to Hardline.

Battlefield: Hardline is going to launch sometime in late 2014 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Unfortunately, there has yet to be any word on Hardline beta codes being released for PlayStation 3 or any of the non-Sony platforms. There's also no word on just when the beta will begin beyond a supposed late summer start. Perhaps we'll learn more next week when Battlefield: Hardline is officially unveiled at E3.
