Bullet for My Valentine frontman Matt Tuck is wasting no time moving full speed ahead with his new project, the band AxeWound. After revealing the lineup, which includes Cancer Bats’ Liam Cormier on vocals, and offering a free download of ‘Post Apocalyptic Party,’ the band has now unveiled  a batch of European tour dates.

Check below to see the tour routing, which includes major European summer festivals like Rock Im Park and Rock Am Ring in Germany, and Download in the U.K. You can also poke around the band’s website to check out the music and their old school, thoroughly metallic, optical illusion logo, which is the AxeWounds’s name and features inverted crosses and stars in the script.

Tuck spoke to the BBC about the new project and about his excitement at playing guitar and writing songs for it, as opposed to being the frontman and singer, which are his roles in his main band. He said, “It’s going to be different, not being the main vocalist, but it’s something I look forward to, [to] just enjoy being a guitar player and a songwriter.” Clearly, AxeWound lets Tuck flex his creative muscles.

He also said that AxeWound sidesteps the melodic for the violent, musically speaking, and stated that AxeWound is about “not giving a f—.”

If you’ve not yet downloaded ‘Post Apocalyptic Party,’ we encourage you to do so, and not just because the track is a free gift from AxeWound. The riffs land like a boot to the Adam’s Apple and if ever there was a song that sounds like its band’s name, it’s this one!
