Angelo State University’s Jazz Ensemble will perform its spring concert this Tuesday in the ASU Auditorium.
The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. and is open free to the public.  The ASU Auditorium is located in the Mayer Administration Building, 2601 W. Avenue N.

Selections will include “Blue Birdland” by Jimmy Giuffre, “No More” by Bob Russell and Toots Camarata, “Winner’s Circle” by Sammy Nestico, “Something To Remind You” by Pat Metheny and Lyle Mays, “Vehicle” by James M. Petenk, “The Song is You” by Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein, “Summertime” and “Someone to Watch Over Me” by George Gershwin, “Dat Dere” by Bobby Timmons and “North Africa” by Chick Corea.

The ASU Jazz Ensemble offers student performers the opportunity to study a wide variety of jazz music, from the early days of its New Orleans birthplace to today’s jazz greats.  It is directed by Dr. Tim Bonenfant, associate professor of music.
