Angelo State Posts Proposed Policy Addressing “Campus Carry” Law

Angelo State University has posted the proposed policy addressing the "Campus Carry" Law.

In compliance with Texas Government Code Section 411.2031 “Carrying of Handguns by License Holders on Certain Campuses,” Angelo State University has prepared an associated proposed operating policy.

As required by the law, this operating policy is expected to be reviewed by the Texas Tech University System Board of Regents at a called meeting in April.

The proposed policy is posted on the university website at www.angelo.edu/content/files/22835-asu-proposed-policy-sb-11-campus-carry.

Texas Government Code Section 411.2031, commonly known as “Campus Carry,” becomes effective Aug. 1.
