Most of the buzz surrounding J.J. Abram’s upcoming ‘Star Trek’ sequel seems to center on British actor Benedict Cumberbatch and who he will or won’t be playing in the much-anticipated movie. We’re looking forward to learning more about Cumberbatch’s mystery character, but we’re more excited about another new addition to the rebooted franchise’s cast, Alice Eve.

You may know the English actress as one of Vinnie Chase’s many girlfriends on HBO’s ‘Entourage’ or from the 2010 sex comedy ‘She’s Out of My League’ with Jay Baruchel. Eve, who also appeared in ‘Sex in the City 2’ (Which we did not watch because of our deep-seated fear of Sarah Jessica Parker and her evil power to render a man sterile with just one look), also appears in two recent releases, the John Cusack thriller ‘The Raven’ and ‘Men in Black III.’

The 30-year-old actress started acting in UK TV and film productions in 2004. She starred alongside Cumberbatch in the BBC production ‘Hawking.’ Her breakout role as the ultimate hottie in ‘She’s Out of My League’ in 2010 led to her being cast in several major U.S. productions.

Eve has dropped a few hints about her mystery ‘Star Trek 2’ character in recent interviews. According to Eve, she did spend a significant amount of time in the makeup chair before stepping in front of the camera, which probably means she’s playing an alien. Fingers crossed for Green Orion Slave Girl!
