The new film "Blaze" is a passion project by actor, director and producer Ethan Hawke. Ethan and star Ben Dickey stopped by the studio to talk about the film. "Blaze" is the story of Blaze Foley, a legend of Texas outlaw music whose life was tragically cut short after his untimely death at 39 years old.

Artists like Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard were inspired by this folk storyteller. Hawke is the director, screenwriter, and producer of this film and says he was fascinated by Blaze's life and death. The movie shows the beautiful blooming relationship between Blaze and his wife, but also two other time periods in his life. The dark years in his life when he was full blown in his alcoholism and using meth, and the day that he was murdered. You see Blaze at his absolute best, and the worst moment in his life.

The movie is extremely powerful and shows that sometimes, love doesn't conquer all. The movie is now playing at Alamo Drafthouse here and other locations around the country. Check out the interview with Ethan Hawke and Ben Dickey in the video above.
