The 24th Annual Read to Me March will be led by Stuart Stotts, around the Tom Green County Courthouse, this Thursday, April 9th.

The festivities will start with Stotts reading to pre-school aged students at the Stephens Central Library's Children's Department at 10 AM. Then, the parade begins at 12 PM, where area elementary students, parents, teachers, and older students who read to these students will read stories and poems to the kids on the courthouse lawns.

Stuart Stotts is an author, storyteller, educator, and songwriter. He has an extraordinary ability to engage young and old with his impromptu songs. Stotts has performed in schools, libraries, and community settings around the world since 1984. He is a Kennedy Center teaching artist and a frequent presenter at educational events, keynoting conferences and leading workshops for early childhood and elementary school teachers, librarians, and social service professionals. Stotts will highlight his latest book, “We Shall Overcome – A Song That Changed the World,” about the song Pete Seeger made famous.
